Certain Changes Made in Australia Immigration Law – COVID relaxation for Certain Family Visa Applicants
The department of Home Affairs has made certain changes in the Australia Immigration law, offering COVID concession to the applicants who applied for a certain family visa and are unable to depart Australia due to shutting down of Australian borders. These are the applicants who applied for the family visa offshore and are now stuck in Australia.
Ordinarily, these applicants need to be offshore in order to get a grant on their family visa; however, the COVID concession says that the concession will now allow the affected applicants to get a grant on their visa, while they are in Australia.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the DHA (Department of Home Affairs) proposes to give up the requirements of the offshore applicants who need a grant on the visa on different family sponsorship programs listed below:
- Child Subclass 101 Visa
- Adoption Subclass 102 Visa
- Partner Subclass 309 Visa
- Prospective Marriage Subclass 300 Visa
- Dependent Child Subclass 445 Visa
Well, the concessions need to be implemented in early 2021. Moreover, you will be provided with the latest information or updates very soon!
